Science Program, 2010-2013

As a science program student, Hendrik built up a vast array of knowledge in science. It gave him a very objective worldview, and a sweet understanding of the Scientific Method. Though the benefit of a Science Program might not be directly apparent for his profession as a Lawyer, it should be noted that it is exactly what gives Hendrik a very competitive start.

Having a taste of the Natural Science, it gave him a very unique approach in studying law, and in solving legal problems. Hendrik knows that to properly understand something, one must first understand a proper research method to approach it. Being familiar with the Scientific Method, Hendrik would carefully deconstruct a problem to its constituent elements, and identify what needs solving. However, Scientific Method can not be used directly in solving a legal problem, therefore Hendrik knows what to do: use an analog of Scientific Methods in Normative Study. Ergo, a proper Normative Research Methods.

His experience as a Science Program Student does not just pertain in his consistence toward proper research methods, it also gives him a very objective view when approaching a problem: he pays little thoughts on opinions, and focus more on facts, especially on relevant legal facts of the case. If there is a legal fact that can be solved, he would dig through all relevant laws and would identify a proper legal solution.
